75 hard rules phase 1

First let's talk about the physical changes I went through. As mentioned in my review of 75 Hard, I had been working on my own 30-day challenge when I first learned of 75 Hard. So I added these elements into my existing program. At first, I found the water to be the toughest part, and it took me a week and a half to work my way up to drinking a gallon day.

75 hard rules phase 1 - First lets talk about the physical changes I went through

I used to have a 1-liter water bottle that I fill up three times each day, then up to 800 ML on my 4th filling . Now I'm testing out a one-gallon bottle which so far, has worked out nicely. My tip on the water is to pace yourself throughout the day and try to drink all your water before you drink anything else. I'll often start my day off with a cup of tea (which doesn't count towards the gallon) on cold days, and those are the days I have the most problems with completing that task. On those nights, I find myself completing the last 1800 ML within two hours of going to bed.

75 hard rules phase 1 - As mentioned in my review of 75 Hard

I don't recommend taking in so much water late at night as your body will want to rid itself of some of it, which will cause you to wake up at night. In the midst of quarantine, it seemed as though the 75 Hard Challenge took over my social media. Especially on TikTok, I saw video after video of users giving this mental toughness challenge a shot.

75 hard rules phase 1 - So I added these elements into my existing program

I was immediately intrigued and looked up what the challenge was all about. The 75 Hard Challenge was created by fitness guru Andy Frisella. He wanted to make a challenge that would show people what effect 75 days straight of discipline could have on yourself. 75 Hard is a mental toughness challenge that involves completing 5 basic tasks each day for 75 days. And for me physically, health-wise, it's been great because I've managed to lose fat. And I feel like I'm at the body fat percentage that I want to be right now.

75 hard rules phase 1 - At first

And I'm 1 kilogram or 2.2 pounds away from my goal weight just after doing the 75 HARD™ challenge. And I'm very excited about that. So, if I measure it from like, if this was going to be a health goal, if I turned 75 HARD™ into a weight loss challenge, then I would say it was successful. If I call it a mental toughness challenge, it was still very successful for me. And yeah, I really love 75 HARD™. Well, yeah, if you're under a lot of stress.

75 hard rules phase 1 - I used to have a 1-liter water bottle that I fill up three times each day

Because even though I've had to start over with 75 HARD™, I haven't skipped the reading a single day. I haven't skipped the two workouts a single day this year. Um, I haven't skipped the water. So I've had a gallon of water every day this whole year, six months, and it's epic.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Now Im testing out a one-gallon bottle which so far

And I mean, even though I finished with 75 HARD™, I'm going to continue because why do I want to miss the benefits of reading the 10 pages? Because I'm gaining knowledge from it. So I don't want to stop doing it. Um, I work from home, so it's easy for me to two workouts a day.

75 hard rules phase 1 - My tip on the water is to pace yourself throughout the day and try to drink all your water before you drink anything else

It's not like, you know, I parked my car and walk to the office or walk between offices or anything like that. Like I can easily just sit on the couch the whole day. So I love having that being forced to move my body for 45 minutes, twice a day, to balance out the sedentary lifestyle that I have if I'm just sitting. 75 hard has and always will be a fixture in my life. Andy has created THE BEST solution to winning in your life!

75 hard rules phase 1 - Ill often start my day off with a cup of tea which doesnt count towards the gallon on cold days

The app itself makes you LITERALLY type in start over if you don't complete your tasks. It's accountability at its finest! If you haven't already done so, buy the book, inform yourself on the 75 hard program and DO IT!. I first heard of this challenge after my second pregnancy and some pretty significant health issues that occurred after I had the baby. I had a in home nurse and was hooked up to a machine for "wound care" I was down on myself and needed a change! After doing 75 hard the first time my mind saw things differently.

75 hard rules phase 1 - On those nights

I am in control of my happiness and only I can make my goals a reality! This program has taught me how to find the gaps in my day and put that time to better use! I am starting 75 hard again since it has been a few months since I finished but I plan to do this and follow up with the next phase also! I'm so glad this app is around too!

75 hard rules phase 1 - I dont recommend taking in so much water late at night as your body will want to rid itself of some of it

It is so easy to use and I love the reminders!. First off you are not allowed to start phase 3 until 30 days prior to when you started 75 hard the year prior. For example I started 75 Hard March 5th 2020 and started phase 3 on February 4th 2021. Unlike the previous stages of the live hard program you are not allowed to start again on day 1 if you fail any of these tasks. This is the final test, and if you fail phase 3 you fail the whole program and must start again at 75 Hard day 1 and go through the whole cycle again.

75 hard rules phase 1 - In the midst of quarantine

5 minute cold shower, and by cold I mean cold, if you're aren't shivering and having that feeling of cold shock then the water isn't cold enough. This is another mental toughness builder and the hardest tasks of all the tasks in my opinion. But cold showers have proven health benefits and also have the benefit of getting you out of your comfort zone. Cold showers are usually the worst part of the day for me, or at least the part I look forward to the least so once I get it done the rest of the day is usually a cake walk compared to that cold water.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Especially on TikTok

Thankful that forgetting to log an activity doesn't start you back to Day 1 on the app (or in the program rules for that matter!) bc I sadly do that more than I wish but I love the app. Easy to use, great reminders and invaluable tool for success. I wish the water tracking could be customized as I drink mine one liter at a time but realize that's a personal approach that won't work for everyone. Therefore, the generic goal of 1 gallon is probably the best way to make the most people happy. I would not do any of the live hard challenges without this app. It helps you stay accountable and not forget to do one of your tasks.

75 hard rules phase 1 - I was immediately intrigued and looked up what the challenge was all about

I love the way you can take and store progress photos. But I love that it's an honor system and it let me proceed because I knew I'd done it all, my cell service was just too bad to work. This program is focused on teaching you to be mentally strong, stop making excuses, and turn your "I'll try" into I CAN and I WILL! If you follow it, you will see changes in many areas of your life!

75 hard rules phase 1 - The 75 Hard Challenge was created by fitness guru Andy Frisella

Real change ONLY comes when YOU are willing to put in the work to change. I tried to lose the rest of my baby weight many times, but I kept reverting back to my bad habits and gaining back what I would lose. I finally realized that I was the problem. I was making excuses, and not really putting the effort forth that needed to make my goals happen. Now when I want something, I make my list on how to achieve it and make it happen!! This was life changing for me and I highly recommend it.

75 hard rules phase 1 - He wanted to make a challenge that would show people what effect 75 days straight of discipline could have on yourself

I lost over 30lbs during my 75 days, and I'm continuing to lose now!. See, 75Hard is really just the first piece of the LiveHard program that was developed by Andy Frisella. At the end of the day, if you didn't complete just 1 of the items you fail and start back at day 1 of Phase 1.

75 hard rules phase 1 - 75 Hard is a mental toughness challenge that involves completing 5 basic tasks each day for 75 days

Follow a diet of your choice that will push you towards your health goals. Just because there are multiple tasks that relate to health, 75 Hard is a mental toughness program. The reason for these health tasks is the fact that they are hard. If you can stick to a diet without cheating for 75 days you will gain a powerful threshold over your relationship with food and gain mental toughness and confidence.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And for me physically

I've learned much about myself since taking a leap of faith over 2 years ago. A few days ago while listening the the MFCEO Project, I came across an episode titled 75hard — a 75 day tactical guide to winning the war with yourself. I encourage everyone to listen to this podcast because I believe we're all fighting some kind of war within ourself. But honestly it has made 75 hard so much easier ! I completed it one time without the app.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And I feel like Im at the body fat percentage that I want to be right now

Did not have an issue but this app definitely helps me keep track or what I've completed in my day and what I hadn't. When your body and mind are exhausted and tired, sometimes your days begin to blur. I would have to backtrack through my photos to check if I took my daily progress photo all the time.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And Im 1 kilogram or 2

Now, I knock out whatever task I need to and just check it off my list. The app has been a very useful and convenient tool for tracking my progress. This is my first time doing 75 HARD so I want to make sure I document and keep everything organized to track my progress. This app does meet all of my needs for organization and provides for great reminders throughout the day to keep me focused. When I open the app the next day I'll receive the "you didn't check off all the tasks for yesterday" pop up. It's not a big deal but it does get frustrating because I know I'm completing the work and doing the tasks 100%.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And Im very excited about that

This issue occurs whenever I close out the app. Meaning, I double click my home button and I swipe up on the app to close it out. When I open the app again that message saying I didn't complete the previous day will appear. I hope my review was clear enough to understand and constructive enough to be useful for the continued advancement of the app!.

75 hard rules phase 1 - So

The Live Hard program is a mental toughness program created by Andy Frisella designed to turn you into the best version of yourself. Instead I would rather sit on my ass and play X-Box, which I did and it was nothing but a giant waste of time. As someone who has completed 75hard and read a lot personal development books, this is one of the worst-written books I have EVER read. The grammar and spelling errors are astronomical.

75 hard rules phase 1 - If I call it a mental toughness challenge

For someone running a multi-million dollar company you'd think Andy would hire a decent editor. I highly recommend completing the 75hard program, but I certainly don't recommend wasting time reading this book. The formating also wasn't for me at all. On top of that, I find the way some of the information is presented to be problematic and at sometimes cringy. Heaven knows that wasn't easy, heaven knows I had to pull out everything I had to keep that mental game going. I've walked the walk, so I think I have just as much right as him, or anyone else to talk the talk.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And yeah

Frankly, If it wasn't part of my 10 pages a day I would have put it down long ago. Doing this program can maybe force them to start doing that. And then yeah, they might be doing it because they're doing the Live Hard program, but it is like giving them that nudge that they need.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Well

And then I'm not sure in which phase, but in one of the phases in the future, and that's the one that scares me the most is that you have to talk to a stranger every day. That's a little hard, um, you know, and it's like, it can't be over the internet or something like that. And you can't just say "hi", you have to talk to a stranger. Where I prefer working out every day.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Because even though Ive had to start over with 75 HARD

Working out more regularly and yeah, to be clear, the 75 HARD™ challenge is actually part of a bigger program called the Live Hard program. And 75 HARD™ is just like the first part of it. After 75 HARD™, you get Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 that you finish the month before the anniversary of the first day that you started 75 HARD™. I'm starting over with 75 HARD™ and not moving on to Phase 1, which is like a 30-day challenge. Just because in Phase 1, you have to take a cold shower every day. I'm a bit of a chicken plus I'm just worried because I already feel like my body's already under a little bit of stress.

75 hard rules phase 1 - I havent skipped the two workouts a single day this year

I don't want to add even more stress to it. So, I just want to do more research on that. And the cold shock I feel is future Joané's problem.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Um

So that part I love about the challenge is like, I know for sure how long it's been since the last time I overate or binged because that was the last time I had to start over with 75 HARD™. And to say like, and as a really lazy person, being able to say that I have exercised twice a day for the last six months is "wow". The #75HARD Challenge is the newest diet and exercise trend all over the Internet. The challenge lasts 75 days of following clearly set rules about your diet, workouts, and personal development. There are no cheat days allowed, and if participants do break even 1 rule, they start back at day one.

75 hard rules phase 1 - So Ive had a gallon of water every day this whole year

"I've spent more than 20 years figuring out how to master mental toughness and I'm putting everything I've learned into a program I call 75HARD," he writes in the episode notes. The cold shower is the one item in the entire program that I know I'll struggle with. I've taken cold showers unintentionally and have not enjoyed them. I remember taking one during a retreat when I was in college. It was during the winter which made it worse. I made it through it and started sweating when I came out and dried off.

75 hard rules phase 1 - And I mean

A tip for this is to work your way up to it while you're doing 75 hard. So as you complete your shower, turn the hot water off and start trying to do 30 seconds, then a minute, then two minutes, etc… until you get up to five minutes. In this podcast episode, Rob Cressy is joined by his accountability partner Brendan Pettit as they share their Phase 1 of Live Hard experience and tips to sharpen your mindset.

75 hard rules phase 1 - Because Im gaining knowledge from it
